Ad-Aware

To run Ad-aware:
Close all programs and windows.

Make sure you are connected to the Internet.  Double left click on the Ad-aware icon.  Click on "Check for updates now then click on the "Connect Button".  If there are any updates, click "OK" to download them and then click on the "Finish" button.

Click on the "Start" button.  Make sure the "Use custom scanning options" button is selected then click the "Next" button.

Once the scan is complete, click on the "Next" button.  To look over the log file Ad-aware has generated click on the "Show log file" button.

The next screen is a summary of all objects recognized during the scan.  You can:

• Click on one of the section-headers (for example "Vendor") to sort the list according to that criterion.
• Additionally, you can drag and drop the section headers to reorder the list as you wish.
• Double-clicking on a list-item will open a window with more detailed information about the object selected.

Decide which items to be removed and put a check in the box beside it.  If you would like to remove all items, right click on one of the items and then click on "Select All Items".

Press the "Next" button to remove the checked items.  Once items are moved to Quarantine, close the program.
